According to the US Census Bureau, by the year 2042, white people will no longer be the majority population.
A lot of that has to do with the boom in Latino population, which isn't expected to slow down anytime soon.
Forbes magazine has the list of cities seeing the largest increase in foreign born population since 2000.
Orlando comes in fifth. Its immigration population is up 64 percent since the turn of the century. Two thirds of the immigrants there come from Latin America, another 25 percent from South America.
In fourth, Las Vegas, with an immigration boom of 65-percent since 2000. More than half of them work in either construction of service industries. But with home prices down and unemployment up, we could see fewer immigrants moving to Las Vegas.
Indianapolis comes in third, with the number of immigrants up about 70 percent, making it the biggest increase in the Midwest, and the main reason is that Indy saw a strong economic growth in recent years.
Nashville comes in second. The number of immigrants there has gone up almost 75-percent in the last eight years. And Nashville is home to what's likely the largest Kurdish population in the country, 6,000.
In first, Cape Coral, Florida, which is near Fort Myers. Since 2000, its foreign born population has skyrocketed more than 120-percent. The main reason is the booming construction industry there. But with a looming recession, Forbes expects immigration in the area to slow down.
