Winter sports are winding down, spring is approaching, and your body may be in need of some serious R&R. No, not rest and relaxation... re-focus and re-conditioning.
For active athletes, the demands of the sport season can take their toll on the athlete's body. You may be representing some new imbalances in your muscles from repetitive use and in most cases, overuse. You may have suffered a minor injury that required compensating movements to maintain your performance. Maybe your situation is a little more unique. At any rate, the time has come for you to reward yourself for your achievements, and get focused on your next endeavor. If you have not been active over the winter, you need to get a jump on the warm weather. But think before you jump! Your muscles may not be as limber as you think. Flexibility prior to activity is important to address. However, there are various forms of flexibility to increase performance. Your goal should be to maintain muscle balance (total body function) to really kick up your performance and minimize any chance for injury. For more information on what might work for you, feel free to e-mail me at jbfitpro@gmail.com. Every day counts! As a matter of fact, our professionals understand the importance of performance training and recommend retaining even a minimal training commitment during every sport season (1-2 days/week). Whether the finality of your fall sport season catapults you in to the Spring Sport Season, or allows you a more substantial window to prepare for your next sport-season, your time is NOW!!! We remain committed to you and your goals, as your accomplishments are an extension of our exceptional service to you. We look forward to seeing you very, very soon! -- Joel Brown Performance Specialist Training Champions Institute Jbfitpro@gmail.com
