We just got great news about one of our 9 Kids Challenge champions!  Mark was nominated for a special district-wide award in his school district… one of only ten students in his whole school to nominated!

The honors salute achievement in academics, art, citizenship and athletics.  Mark’s mom tells us he was the only student nominated for athletics by his gym teacher, because of his aptitude and great improvement this semester.

“He is so proud of himself,” his mom says.  “He can’t wait for (the 9 Kids Challenge workout)… to show off his award to Joel!”

Mark’s mom says she owes it all to the 9 Kids Challenge.  “I can not find the words to express my gratitude for the NewsChannel 9 team, Joel and Ron at Training Champions Institute, and SUNY Upstate Medical University, for all the time, effort and energy that they give to Mark and all the other kids in the program.”

Mark was honored at his district’s school board meeting.  He has worked very hard since June, and you can see the results, in many ways.  “The difference this program has made in Mark’s health and self-esteem is amazing,” his mother says.

We are very proud of each of the students who’ve taken on the 9 Kids Challenge, and look forward to working with them in the new year as they pursue life-long health.

Happy Holidays!
