With school back in session, everyone wants their kids to be healthy, but there are some illnesses going around right now. Let's start our weekly check in of "what's going around."
In Camillus, where Dr. Rovall is treating kids with the coxsackie virus and the stomach bug. Coxsackie virus is also going around to the south of Syracuse.
Brighton Pediatrics has seen a number of cases this week along with fifth's disease, which is a fever along with a rash that looks like lace. Coxsackie virus is also going around in Cicero and Wee Care Pediatrics is seeing kids with fevers as well.
In Liverpool, fevers are what's going around at Summerwood Pediatrics. Kids are coming into the Syracuse Community Health Center with fevers, strep throat and the kids with asthma are having a tough time.
At Northeast Medical Urgent Care in Fayetteville, strep throat is going around and they're also seeing some cases of the stomach bug.
In downtown syracuse, adults are going to see Dr. Koreff Wolf with sinus infections and allergy symptoms and at the emergency room at University Hospital, they're treating kids with croup and the stomach bug. Adults are also coming in with the stomach bug as well as asthma symptoms.
