We begin our weekly check of "What's Going Around" by welcoming our newest doctors office, Auburn Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. A lot of sore throats going around this week.

Dr. Grany tells us along with sore throats, they're seeing a lot of upper respiratory infections too. Same thing in Pulaski, where Dr. Carguello says many fisherman from the Salmon River are being treated;they're having fish hooks removed from their hands. They're also seeing sore throats.

Wee Care Pediatrics in Cicero is seeing fevers, sore throats, wheezing and congestion. They're also seeing a stomach bug that last around five days. In North Syracuse, Dr. Freshman is seeing some stomach bugs as well, sinus infections and bronchiolitis.

In Camillus, Dr. Rovall is seeing sore throats, most of which are viral, as well as strep throat. He's also seeing colds and ear infections. At North Medical Urgent Care, they're seeing a spike in pneumonia, along with a stomach bug and sinus infections.

"What's Going Around" is our way of letting you know what illnesses are out there. Your own doctor can tell you about the best treatments.
