It feels like the flu, but it's probably not the real thing. Let's start our weekly check of "What's Going Around" on the East Side of Syracuse.

Dr. Freshman is seeing kids with body aches headaches and fever which are telltale signs of the flu. He's checked with other doctors offices and found similar stories, but it's another virus, not the flu. He's also seeing babies with bronchiolitis. At the emergency room at University Hospital, adults have been coming in with flu like symptoms and colds and children have the stomach bug and croup.  At North Medical Urgent Care, they're seeing strep throat in both children and adults and the coxsackie virus is also going around in kids.  In Cicero, Dr. Terasaka is seeing lots of kids with coughs and they hang on for at least a week.  In Camillus, Dr. Rovall is seeing some stomach bug, strep throat and at Brighton Hill Pediatrics, they're seeing coughs and fevers also ear infections.

"What's Going Around" is our way of letting you know what illnesses are out there. The best treatments come from your doctor.
