Here's "What's Going Around" this week in Central New York. Let's start in northern Onondaga County at Wee Care Pediatrics in Cicero where doctors say they are dealing with a summer virus the symptom being a fever. They are also seeing patients with a stomach bug. In Liverpool, strep throat is a problem for patients visiting the North Medical Urgent Care. In downtown Syracuse, allergies are a problem along with upper respiratory illness...and sinus problems. In Manlius, that stomach bug is back and allergies are posing a big problem for patients at the Internist Associates of CNY.
They are coming in with the usual symptoms: a cough, congestion, and itchy eyes.
At the Syracuse Community Health Center, they are dealing with something a little different, a lot of cases of upper respiratory illness and a summer virus that comes with a fever is keeping kids inside in the east according to Syracuse Pediatrics. In Camillus, that nasty stomach bug we've mentioned already is causing problems, along with some cases of the coxsackie virus.
Also in the north at Summerwood Pediatrics, a stomach bug is plaguing patients along with a number of cases of viral sore throats.
