“Did any of the recalled blood thinner, heparin, supplied from China -linked to deaths and allergic reactions- make its way to Central New York? Have there been any related deaths?”

No. We checked with oncologists and area hospitals, and they say there have been no reports of heparin problems or any related deaths in CNY. One hospital does say they did have a batch that was among the recalled lots suspected of being tainted. That lot was immediately pulled and returned to the drug maker, Baxter.
