Cancer Risk Seen with Foot Gel

The FDA says Regranex, a prescription gel used to treat diabetic leg and foot wounds, has been linked to cancer in people who'd used it more than three times. The FDA is not pulling Regrenex from the market. Because of the risks of diabetic ulcers that don't heal, the agency says the potential risk of Regranex should be weighed against the benefits for each individual patient.
